ABOUT SOCIONIHIL
SocioNihilism
SocioNihilism is the search for a constructive,
balanced and social way of living, with nihilism as the core source of
arguments and points of view.
The idea is, that there is a way to use nihilism to overcome the
duality
of postmodernism.
In short and slightly generalised, nihilism is the destruction of all values,
all philosophy, and all meaning whatsoever, in order to achieve a life
lived rationally, intelligently, objectively and free, physically and
emotionally; free from all presupposed
rules and social restrictions which are based on irrationalities and
illusions, meant to protect us from emotional and existentional harm
and distress, but only keeping us from achieving our true potential and
objective knowledge.
This can take rather extreme proportions, of which the destruction of
state and law is but one of many aspects. Political nihilists, for one, believe that every
defined (moral as well as official) entity we are
part of must be destroyed and annihilated, resulting into anarchy; they find them unreal, not
functional and completely meaningless. Only when they have been
levelled can new entities be formed, entities which are no longer
subjective, restrictive, irrational and sedating, and actually benificial for us.
I believe there is could be truth in such a statement, and it is very much
necessary as well, however, there will always be the sociological
factor to restrain us and the masses from achievin this. It's the factor that needs to be fought and conquered, in order
for nihilism to succeed. This is where I can't follow the
original
meaning and purpose of nihilism.
There are too many variables when trying to have such a vast impact
with any philosophy, belief, religion or even theory, I don't think
it's possible to make raw nihilism effective on such a large scale, even
though I wish for nothing else.
As such, I could be called a fatalist more than a nihilist.
I do feel there is some balance to be found though, to cope with
nihilism, fatalism ànd sociology, without having to utilize
(or
endure) the extreme measures of nihilism pur-sang, yet achieving the
very same goal: gain the ability to deal with the fact that life
is
meaningless, without feeling the need to kill yourself over it,
breaking and even changing any sociological boundary, in order to be
able to execute your every potential without any predefined irrational
restrictions.
If you were to ask what the goal is of all of this, or what I wish to
achieve, I suppose the destruction of all philosophy and morality would
be it. Perhaps more, but most definitely nothing less.
SocioNihilism is not truth,
science or fact, but merely a theory which is still (and always will
be) in evolution.
SocioNihil will deal mainly with sociological and even behavioral
matters, with nihilism as the basis for arguments, theories and
conclusions, attempting to find a solution for the duality and paradox
found within it.
I don't count on being popular with all this, but I don't see myself as
a martyr either. It's a theory which I'm trying to put into words
(which isn't easy when it has made sense for years without end) and for
which I'm seeking solutions so it can be put into practice. Because
honestly, if you were to put regular (moral) nihilism into practice,
you'll always end up a vigilante misanthrope, which is not the purpose
of SocioNihilism at all.
If you're into nihilism, or not at all, but just want to read on a
perception of nihilism and philosophy, the search for a constructive
balance between nihilism, fatalism, hedonism and mysanthropy, an atypical view on life, death
and the nothingness in between, please, feel free to browse! You
never know what you'll run into.
Even if it's the biggest load of bollocks you've ever read since the
newspaper headline
"Intelligent
life-forms detected on Capitol Hill!", as long as
it made you think skeptically and question for even a second, I've
achieved more
than I wanted to.
Logo
top
The
logo
is
of my own design, mostly. It's a combination of several elements and
has a high symbolic meaning, one that I gave it at least. It is currently being revised, please check the
New Logo page or the
forums for info and/or participation.
The griffin stands for everything the animals within it stand for. The
lion for his strength and bravery, the griffin for liberty and
nobility. Of course the values and attributes they stand for will vary
frequently, depending on who's watching, but those values and
attributes will always be "honourable" and benificial in anyone's eyes,
although hard to
achieve.
These values are as mythical as the creature that represents it,
however. They mean nothing and are highly subjective; they won't
postpone your death. Hence the
reversed
N representing
the symbol for nihilism. It's not very official,
as I have only found it on the website of the
counterorder
sofar.
The griffin and the
N combined
represent the duality that I attempt to describe and overcome.
They are a contradiction and can never be together. The griffin, being
everything that's "good", everything that we wish to achieve, values
that determine our worth to each other.
Nihilism, the destruction of everything that's good ànd bad,
the quest to
question the worth of our achievements, the annihilation of who we are
in relation to ourselves, each other and the raw, physical world; its
main goal: to destroy these "good" values and all their pathetic
meanings
we've given them, in order to recreate them, from scratch, without
prejudice, without senseless worth that has long lost all it's core
meaning.
I love contradictions, they are the source of many new ideas.
This is the beauty of nihilism, as wel as it's cruelty. If you succeed
in destroying all current values, definitions, morals, truths etc., you
will
create chaos. This will then cyclically reform to order, a new order,
an objective
order, a far more efficient order than a former one that had let
itsself be
torn apart by itsself.
Of course, in order to create, you must destroy first, and that's the
pill many people find hard to swallow; they prefer to remain ill rather
than to swallow one pill.
I mentioned already that I'm not an extreme nihilist, or not very much
so. I don't see myself as the bringer of a new order, it's a bit too
megalomanic for me. If I did, the logo would just be the reversed
N.
I'm not ready to succumb to the current prison of values, restrictions,
rules and hypocrisies yet either, though. If I did, the logo would just
be the griffin and I'd spend my entire life trying to achieve
"abilities" and qualities worth a lot to other people and worth jack
shit to myself.
A lot good that does.
So welcome to SocioNihil.com, the carving of a new balance out of the
granite rock that is the current prison of worthless rules, and
nihilism as the hammer and chisel.
And the occasional chainsaw.

It all doesn't really sound professional, but that's because it isn't.
I'm
not a philosopher (for various reasons, stated in other parts of the
website), nor a professional writer, or even a decent one, for that
matter. And I'm far from being a qualitative web-designer, as you may
see.
However, I have gotten this far all by myself(, I love being
autodidactical and not having to depend on anyone). Which includes
every
single idea written down here, as well as the creation of the website
and every technical aspect of it. The fact that my website is as
technical as a neanderthal's wooden club is completely irrelevant!
In any case, this background does need mentioning though, if only to
warn you in
advance for any inconsistencies or grammatical mistakes, even though
they change nothing to the theory, or the practice. You are, of
course, more than welcome to give any feedback at all, as long as it's
constructive. Or funny.
Yes, funny feedback is also welcome!
